Middletown police are looking for a couple who may have been the victims of a strong-armed robbery attempt.
Police are looking for a couple who witnesses say are the victims of a strong-armed robbery attempt Sunday afternoon in the parking lot of the Oxford Valley Mall in Middletown. "Witnesses reported seeing three male subjects approach a couple in the parking lot of the mall and attempt to pull a cellular telephone from the hands of a male victim," police said. The suspects were unable to get the phone from the man. According to authorities, the three individuals fled the area in a silver Pontiac Grand Am. The incident happened just before 2:45 p.m. Investigators report they have possible suspects in mind, but the victims have no come forward at this point. Update, 5:03 p.m. The last murder that occurred in Hilltown Township was in 1990 at 12 Key Drive, when Eric Motis stabbed his neighbor Louise C. Hoopes, 42, a secretary at Grand View Hospital, and her sons Douglas, 16, and Daniel, 14, in their beds. Motis, 26, committed suicide in prison in 1998. Motis was facing three life sentences after pleading guilty at trial in 1991. Update, 4:23 p.m. The Reporter reports the black pickup truck has been located in Upper Bucks County. A woman had her purse stolen right off of her arm in Trevose. The subject fled on foot.
Lower Southampton Police are currently investigating the strong armed robbery of an elderly woman in Trevose. On Tuesday, Jan. 15 around 12:16 p.m., police received the report that a 92-year-old woman had just had her purse stolen off of her arm in front of Precision Cuts on the 500 block of Andrews Road and that the subject fled on foot. A witness told officers that he saw a suspicious-looking person standing on the walkway directly in front of the stores in that area. The actor was descibed as wearing a black or dark blue hoodie that was tightly covering his hair and a scruffy smaller beard. He was in his 20s, about 5'8" and had a thin build. A person was robbed at gunpoint in Bristol Township Friday afternoon.
A person was robbed at gunpoint Friday afternoon in the parking lot of a Bristol Township business on the 2500 block of Pearl Buck Road. According breaking news network alerts sent out just after 3 p.m., the actor was described as a large black male who fled the scene in a grey Honda Odyssey minivan with tags coming back to a Philadelphia address. It is unknown at this time what was taken from the victim. Bristol Township Police officers were unable to provide any additional information at this time.

Lower Southampton reported that an assault and robbery occurred earlier this week, during which the complainant was hit with a frying pan.
A Lower Southampton man reported to police that he was assaulted and robbed earlier this week. Lower Southampton Police were dispatched to his home on Heights Lane Monday, Dec. 3 at 8:54 p.m. where he told them he got a ride home from two men. He said he entered his home with one of the men and "the next thing he knew" he was being beaten up on his kitchen floor. The complainant, who was bloody when speaking to officers, said that this man hit him over the head with a frying pan and also grabbed a knife off of the counter, but never used it as a weapon.
