A woman had her purse stolen right off of her arm in Trevose. The subject fled on foot.
Lower Southampton Police are currently investigating the strong armed robbery of an elderly woman in Trevose. On Tuesday, Jan. 15 around 12:16 p.m., police received the report that a 92-year-old woman had just had her purse stolen off of her arm in front of Precision Cuts on the 500 block of Andrews Road and that the subject fled on foot. A witness told officers that he saw a suspicious-looking person standing on the walkway directly in front of the stores in that area. The actor was descibed as wearing a black or dark blue hoodie that was tightly covering his hair and a scruffy smaller beard. He was in his 20s, about 5'8" and had a thin build. The Lower Southampton Police have responded to a number of incidents, including retail theft at the Feasterville Kmart.
Warrants The complainant reported to police that a 52-year-old Philadelphia man was at her residence Sunday, Jan. 6 and currently had warrants out of Bucks County and Philadelphia. Officers took the man into custody without incident. He was transported to the police station where he was picked up by Bucks County Sheriffs. Counterfeiting On Sunday, Jan. 6 at about 1:16 a.m., the Brunswick Zone manager reported to police that she discovered a counterfeit $20 bill in the Cafe when she was making change. It is unknown when or who passed the bill since the Cafe was busy most of the night Retail Theft Police were dispatched to Kmart at about 11:50 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5. Retail Theft Friday, Nov. 30, 2012 police received a report of retail theft from Impact Thrift Store. A store employee noticed a watch missing from the display case. She reviewed surveillance video, which showed a heavy-set male reaching over the counter, sliding open the display case sliding door and reaching into the case where the watch was. He was then seen closing the case and walking away. The watch was being retailed for $1,000. Lower Southampton reported that an assault and robbery occurred earlier this week, during which the complainant was hit with a frying pan.
A Lower Southampton man reported to police that he was assaulted and robbed earlier this week. Lower Southampton Police were dispatched to his home on Heights Lane Monday, Dec. 3 at 8:54 p.m. where he told them he got a ride home from two men. He said he entered his home with one of the men and "the next thing he knew" he was being beaten up on his kitchen floor. The complainant, who was bloody when speaking to officers, said that this man hit him over the head with a frying pan and also grabbed a knife off of the counter, but never used it as a weapon. At about 5:20 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16, a Lower Southampton Police officer on patrol received a report that a red vehicle hit multiple vehicles and drove away. The actor was reportedly driving eastbound on Street Road. The officer drove out to Street Road by 7-Eleven and could see smoke coming from a red vehicle a few hundred yards down in front of him. Police said Eric Mitchell, 31, was arrested on a bench warrant and released to the sheriffs. It happened on Green Lane in Levittown at 12:55 p.m. on March 15. Feasterville resident 25-year-old Douglas Zenszer was arrested on a local warrant at Bath Road in Bristol, according to police. It happened at 9:26 a.m. on March 15. Zenszer was arraigned at District Court No. 4, and with bail set at $250,000, he was sent to Bucks County Prison. Police also reported other crimes.
