Cash Stolen in Overnight Break-in at Dunkin' Donuts

The back door was pried open Friday morning and $2,800 was taken from a security cabinet. It was the second break-in at the store in three months.

Lower Southampton police responded to an alarm activated at approximately 3:30 a.m. Friday at Dunkin' Donuts on Bustleton Pike and found the back door had been pried open. According to a police report, security video shows two people had broken into the restaurant and popped open a steel security cabinet. The owner told police that the cabinet held approximately $2,800 in petty cash and teh previous day's receipts. Police describe the thieves as two white males wearing black hoodies, black pants, ski masks and gloves. Cameras show the two suspects running northbound toward the rear of Bottom Dollar and Kyoto. Masked Gunman Robs Langhorne Dunkin' Donuts, Police Say

The robber leapt over the counter and forced the employees to empty the cash register, according to the report.

A man wearing a black ski mask and brandishing a silver handgun leapt over the counter of the Dunkin' Donuts located on Maple Ave. in Langhorne and forced employees to empty the cash register just before 8 p.m. Sunday night, Middletown Township police report. According to the statement, the gunman, described by employees who tripped the store's silent alarm as a white male in his mid-20s with a medium build, tried to get someone to open the safe, but nobody could access it. The suspect fled the scene, and the police K-9 unit could not get a track on him. Anybody with information about the incident can contact Middletown detectives at 215-750-3845.

Over $2,000 Stolen from Bustleton Pike Dunkin' Donuts

The new Dunkin' Donuts in Lower Southampton was burglarized early Thursday morning.

Police are looking for two men who they say stole money from the Dunkin' Donuts on Bustleton Pike early Thursday. Store employees called police at around 5:15 a.m. to report the newly-opened location had been burglarized, Lower Southampton officials said. The staff was arriving to open for the day, according to a police report. According to police, the suspects gained access to a locked cabinet and snatched $1,900. They also pried open cash registers and got $450. Police also noted that a locked cart with paperwork and additional cash inside was ransacked.
