Money, Alcohol, Video Games Stolen During Restaurant Burglary

The Mink Restaurant & Lounge was broken into early Thursday morning, police said.

Two suspects broke into Mink Restaurant & Lounge on Bustleton Pike at 2:00 a.m. on Thursday and made off with hundreds of dollars in cash, alcohol and video games. According to police, cash was taken from three cash registers and a deposit bag in an office. Money was also stolen from an amusement game at the bar, police said. The suspects made off with two bottles of Petrone Tequila and video games stored under the bar. An Xbox gaming system and its controllers were taken from a downstairs area, a police incident report stated. Security cameras show the restaurant and bar was entered through a rear door adjacent to Woodland Road, police said. The following arrest information was supplied by the Lower Southampton Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction. Burglary -- Forced Entry 100 block of Windswept Ln, Feasterville Thursday, Apr. 19, 2012 The victim reported that the burglary occurred between 10:30 a.m. and 6:36 p.m. while she and her husband were at work. When she arrived home, she noticed that the front door was unlocked, but stated that she locked the deadbolt before leaving for work. When she entered the home, she noticed things out of place and things that looked like they had been rummaged through. She checked the rest of her home and found that the bathroom window locks were broken and the window was slightly up. Her and her granddaughter's rooms were both …

I should have noted in the blotter that the neighbor thought the subjects were supposed to be there and knew that the complainant's husband had recently said he was going to get estimates to get the driveway paved. When the neighbor saw the subjects, they were standing in the victims' driveway.   more ›
