Owned and operated since 2001 by the Ruhling family, The Buck Hotel is a fine dining establishment in Lower Southampton. Before selecting a restaurant for a Mother's Day buffet, we checked the menus of half a dozen locations. The Buck required a $25 deposit to secure a reservation. Now we know why. The menu displayed on the website 10 days ago is not the menu on the site now. The previous menu included lamb; the new menu chicken finger and mac and cheese. For &38.95 a head???? We asked about the lamb and were met with confusion - it wasn't part of the menu. We weren't the only table that expected dishes that were previously advertised. We got a $25 buffet for $40 a head. Just like the antlerless buck in the front of the restaurant, what was advertised was not what we received.
