Neshaminy School Board Reopens 2011-12 Budget

The Neshaminy School Board voted to approve reopening the 2011-12 budget August 23.

The Neshaminy School Board unanimously approved reopening the 2011-12 budget last night in order to add additional state funds.

They reopened the budget to "reflect the increased state allocations" for the 2011-12 school year, according to the motion made by board President Ritchie Webb.

The increased state allocations are estimated to exceed the state revenue figures utilized by the district by about $1.6 million. The district received additional funds through the increased basic education subsidy, accoutability block grant and Social Security reimbursement.
