Neshaminy Celebrates Despite 75-53 Loss to CR North
Council Rock North won conference title with a 73-53 win over Neshaminy. However, the loss didn't matter at all to the Redskins.
Council Rock North won conference title with a 73-53 win over Neshaminy. However, the loss didn’t matter at all to the Redskins; the game had more meaning than a win or loss. To start the game, senior Ryan Arcidiacono played his only minute of the season having to sit out the entire year with an injury. That minute had him take a pass and shoot a lay up for his 1,500 point of his high school career.
Another milestone loomed as the Skins' Tyler Katz needed 16 points to get his 1,000 point. It appeared that he would get his milestone baskets on foul shots. Tyler went to the line and missed both, but came away with the ball off his second missed foul shot to put it in , causing the gym to go nuts for a couple minutes. His teammates mauled him, cheerleaders shot confetti into the air and Katz hugged his parents and some friends as well before the game resumed.
The Redskins finished the season with a 4 –18 record.
