Hoover Elementary Wins 2nd Place in Giant A+ Rewards Program

Herbert Hoover Elementary won 2nd place regionally in the Giant Food Corporation A+ Rewards Program this year.

Hoover Elementary School registered for the Giant Food Store's A+ Rewards Program this year. Tricia Koziski and Holly Banach entered Hoover in a display contest featuring Giant Food Store and their generosity to schools and education.

Hoover’s display is a harvest-themed promotion featuring Giant and can be found in the school lobby's display case. The display is full of scarecrows, hay bails, Giant promotional materials, and other harvest decor.

According to Giant's website, the food store corporation was looking for "the most creative and unique A+ School Rewards display" and for it to be placed in a prominent place within the school during September and October.

Over the Neshaminy School District's hurricane "break," Hoover was notified by the Giant Food Corporation that their display won 2nd place regionally, which resulted in a deposit of 25,000 points into the credit bank. This credit is turned into cash for the school at the end of the year. The amount of cash is determined by an equation based on points, amount of participants and other factors/variables.
