The township is looking for applicants for three part-time, seasonal Program Specialists in the Parks and Recreation Department. The positions include a specialists for nature and environmental education, arts and crafts, and field sports.

According to the township website, desired candidates will have experience working with children and have CPR and First Aid certifications. Responsibilities for these positions include "motivating and conducting camp grounds to stay on task and perform specific group activities, providing a safe and effective environment for campers" in addition to assisting head counselors in planning and facilitating daily needs of campers. Depending on the site, the work could be performed indoors or outside.

For these positions, the candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent job experience. According to the township website, applicants are subject to a pre-employment background check and must supply a current copy of criminal history record check from https://epatch.state.pa.us upon offer of employment. The starting salary varies depending on qualifications.

Lower Southampton is also seeking a part-time certified Zumba dance instructor in the Parks and Recreation Department. According to the township website, desired candidates "must have a working knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects." The main purpose of this position is to instruct Zumba participants in maintaining "exertion levels in order to maximize benefits from exercise routines."

According to the township website, this position's responsibilities include planning routines, choosing appropriate music, and choosing different movements for each set of muscles, depending on participants' capabilities and limitations in addition to observing participants and informing them of corrective measures necessary for skill improvement. The instructor should also communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.

Applicants for this position are also subject to a pre-employment background check upon offer of employment. The salary is $30.00-$40.00/hour DOQ.
