Board of Supervisors Recognizes Work of Police Officers

The work of several Lower Southampton police officers were recognized by the Board of Supervisors.

The Board of Supervisors held a commendation ceremony last night at the to recognize and honor the work of several officers.

First, Detective Shane Hearn was recognized for his investigation of a complaint of contractor fraud, which spanned from January 2008 until April 2011. The Board of Supervisors recognized Hearn for his due-diligence over the past three years, as stated in a proclamation resolution.

Officer Mark Cieslinski was honored for his calm demeanor, professional training and his dedication as a police officer. According to the proclamation resolution, these traits helped Cieslinski end a situation he was involved in May 22, 2010 in a "peaceful manner."

The C Squad, which consists of Sergeant Frank Leonhardt, Corporal Raymond Young and officers Christopher Koehnlein, Jeffery Wilson and Joseph Zaffino, was honored for their work when they responded to a traffic accident October 24, 2010.

"Their fast response precented an already terrible situation from becoming worse," according to the proclamation resolution.

William Bridge and Bob Noble were also recognized for their "brave and heroic actions" and "quick response" in the same traffic accident the C Squad were honored for.

The Board of Supervisors also held a presentation of military service to Officer Remo DiLello, who served with the United States Marine Corp active duty from 2000 until 2004. DiLello obtained the rank of Sergeant and is currently in the Marine standby reserves.
