Board of Supervisors Honors Local Eagle Scouts

The Lower Southampton Board of Supervisors honored residents who obtained the rank of Eagle Scout.

The Lower Southampton Board of Supervisors honored five residents Wednesday evening who have recently obtained the rank of Eagle Scout.

Jesse Martin of Langhorne began his scouting career with the Cub Scout Pack 153 at Assumption BVM in 2002. He is currently a senior at Neshaminy High School and atttended Herbert Hoover Elementary and .

Martin's Eagle Scout project was restoring and cleaning up a trail and overgrown pond area at .

John Sauers of Feasterville, who started Cub Scouts with Pack 153 from Assumption BVM in 1998, graduated from Assumption BVM School in 2006 and then from Bucks County Technical High School in 2010.

Sauers' Eagle Scout project benefitted Assumption BVM Parish and CYO Organizaton by installing lights around the CYO building. According to the board's proclamation, the lights illuminate the steps to the athletic field as well as around the building to help individuals have safe access to the concession stands and restrooms.

Timothy Curran of Feasterville joined Cub Scouts Pack 153 at Assumption BVM in 1999. He graduated from Assumption in 2007 and graduated from Archbishop Wood High School in 2011, where he earned the four year Kelly Richards Scholarship for music. 

For his Eagle Scout project, Curran enlarged the parking area at the Bucks County Women's Community Center in Levittown to make the facility more attractive and able to help more women in need.

He is currently studying actuarial science at Temple University.

Daniel Williams of Feasterville started the Cub Scouts with Pack 153 at Assumption BVM in 2000. He is currently a senior at Neshaminy High School and plans to attend Bucks County Community College in the fall.

Williams' Eagle Scout project benefitted the Silver Lake Nature Center in Bristol. He erected and installed a camouflage gutter system from the roof of the nature center building to a nearby pond.

Richard Lees began his scouting career with Cub Scout Pack 367 at St. Christopher's in 2000. He is currently a senior at Bucks County Technical High School, where he is a honor student and studying Mechatronics. He plans to attend Millersville University in the fall.

For Lees' Eagle Scout project, he planned and organized the building of an indoor miniature golf course to be used at the . According to the board's proclamation, it was created with children's storybook themes in mind and was designed to be easily collapsed in order to conserve storage space.
