Bids Rejected and Awarded for Two Lower Southampton Fire Department Projects

The Lower Southampton Fire Department won't have a fire truck upgraded yet, but will purchase new gear.

A refurbish and upgrade to an existing fire truck in the will not happen soon.

The Lower Southampton Board of Supervisors announced Wednesday that bids for this project came in "much higher than anticipated." Because of that, all of the bids were rejected and the project will be re-bid.

Though the fire department will have to wait on the upgrade to one of its trucks, it will be receiving some new gear. A bid was awarded Wednesday night to Continental Fire & Safety, Inc for 10 new sets of firefighter personal protective equipment and gear.
