When officers arrived, the victim, whose clothes and face were covered in blood, reported that his girlfriend, 34-year-old Almeta Armstrong allegedly hit him in the face several times during an argument, a police report stated.

A verbal argument started when Armstrong, who was driving home from church, accused her boyfriend of staring at her sister’s breasts during a visit to the hospital where her sister had just delivered a child, according to the police report.
During the argument, Armstrong allegedly punched and slapped her boyfriend in the face while she was driving. He suffered injuries to his nose and lip, police said.

After admitting to police officers she hit her boyfriend, Armstrong was arrested on charges of domestic assault, simple assault and harassment.
Armstrong was arraigned via video by Judge Kelly and bail was set at $5,000.
