State Police Respond to Hit & Run Crashes, DUI

Trevose troopers respond to two hit & run crashes at Woodhaven Road and Bristol Pike and a DUI arrest.

Between Sept. 19-21, Trevose troopers responded to the following incidents:

On Sept. 19 at 8 a.m., state police responded to Woodhaven Road and Bristol Pike for the report of a hit-and-run accident. Police said three vehicles were traveling eastbound on Woodhaven Road when one changed lanes abruptly into the lane the other two were driving in. The front vehicle was forced to slam its brakes it created a chain reaction accident with all three vehicles. Two of the vehicles fled the scene.

On Sept. 21 at 11:59 p.m., state police stopped a vehicle on I-95 northbound at milepost 46.5 in Lower Makefield. The driver, a 28-year-old man from Ewing, NJ, was found to be intoxicated and driving with a suspended license. He faces DUI and other charges.

State police reported another hit-and-run crash at Woodhaven Road and Bristol Pike. Police said one vehicle struck another as traffic slowed due to rush hour and then fled the scene onto the Route 13 exit ramp.
