An officer was clocking traffic at about 7:03 p.m. at Elmwood Avenue and Oak Road when he observed a yellow Harley Davidson travelling east on Elmwood at 45.9 mph in a 25 mph zone. The officer pulled the driver over on 2nd St, right off of Elmwood Ave. The officer made contact with the drivey, who he advised he was being stopped for speeding. While talking to the driver, a 49 year old from Trevose, the officer detected the odor of alcohol coming from him. His speech was slightly slurred and his eyes were bloodshot. He failed field sobriety tests and registered .11 percent on a breath test. He consented to a blood draw. DUI charges are pending lab results.
