Levittown Postpones Halloween [Updated]

Falls Township is expected to make a statement Wednesday afternoon. Middletown also issued new information about waste collection.

Bristol Borough, Bristol Township, Middletown, Penndel and Tullytown have rescheduled Halloween trick-or-treating to Wednesday, Nov. 7.

Falls Township officials asked trick-or-treaters to celebrate Halloween on Saturday.

"Hurricane Sandy has left considerable damage in its path resulting in potential unseen dangers. With no power, there is no light. Area trees are fragile, and a branch or tree could still fall. A week postponement will allow everyone time to secure their property and allow work crews to get power and other utilities working again," according to Bristol Township Police's Facebook page.

"Given the damage left by the storm many neighborhoods are not suitable for this activity," Middletown officials said in a statement.
