Man in Motorized Cart Attempts to Steal from Kmart

Disorderly Conduct

Police responded to the at about 3:15 a.m. for a disturbance. Officers made contact with Taylor Neilson, 21 of Bensalem, who was identified as instigating a physical fight inside the diner during a verbal altercation. While speaking with Neilson, officers detected the odor of alcohol coming from him and they asked him if he had been drinking. He told police that he had consumed six beers and registered .12 percent on a breath test. Officers ran Neilson's driver's license, which came back as being suspended. Police officers told Neilson that his license would be confiscated and would be cited by mail for disorderly conduct and public drunkenness. Eric Borodotsky-Brotsky, 18 of Huntington Valley, another party involved in the incident, will be cited for disorderly conduct.

The complainant reported that she discovered Thursday that her Ipod docking station was missing from a kitchen shelf and two Wii games missing from the living room. 

Theft

's Loss Prevention employee reported to police that a male on a motorized disabled person's cart attempted to take items from the store after paying for two things. The subject left in a dark green Windstar. Kmart employees were able to identify the subject as Michael Frost via a "key card" he left at the store. He attempted to steal two pairs of socks, five shirts and four pairs of pants, which are valued at $148.66. When officers ran the information from the key card, two possible subjects in Philadelphia came up. One of the possible subjects had a prior retail theft on his record and one more in the works. Officers charged him with the theft.

DUI

While on patrol on Brownsville Road near the , an officer observed a vehicle on the side of the road. When the officer pulled up behind the vehicle, it began moving along. A check of the tag revealed the registration was suspended so the officer conducted a traffic stop. The officer made contact with the driver, Michael Visco, 56 of Philadelphia, who provided the officer with his documents. When the officer returned to the driver to issue a citation, he smelled a strong odor of alcohol. Officers took Visco into custody after performing field sobriety tests and they found a small amount of suspected marijuana in his vehicle. He consented to a blood draw. Charges are pending lab results.

A neighbor reported hearing a diesel van driving past his house and then saw it a few minutes later after hearing a loud "pop" sound. He indicated that the van accelerated around his house and continued out Midway toward Street Road. Officers saw the rear window smashed out to the vehicle in the driveway and a red brick laying on the back deck. Officers weren't able to contact anyone inside the residence.

Police responded to an anonymous complaint of a subject standing in the street yelling about "beating someone up." Upon arrival, officers made contact with James Fleurissaint, 27 of Feasterville, who was standing in the street with blood coming from his nose and wearing bloodied shirt and shorts. He would not indicate what happened or who caused his injury. He was transported to his residence and refused medical treatment. Fleurissaint was cited for public drunkenness and released. Officers seized a small amount of green vegetable matter from his pocket and destroyed it at headquarters.

An officer observed Michael Maranon, 18 of Philadelphia, sitting on the curb at the intersection of Bristol and Brownsville roads at 1:09 a.m. He appeared to be asleep and his legs were sticking out into the road. They made contact with Maranon in the parking lot and he had a strong odor of alcohol coming from him. He said he had been drinking at an underage party somewhere off of Bristol Road. He was given a breath test and registered .21 percent. He was cited for underage drinking.
