Mr. Mike Gindele passed away in the early morning hours Monday, Sept. 17 when he lost his battle with cancer.

According to the LSFD website, Mr. Gindele was a past Assistant Chief and Vice President of the fire department.

In addition, they said that Mr. Gindele would often come around the fire department to shake hands and simply be around the "family."

"We keep his family in our prayers, and Mike in our hearts," department officials said.

LSFD's Chief Steve Krippel posted on Facebook that Mr. Gindele's viewing will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at James Bradley Funeral Home located at 260 Bellevue Avenue, Penndel, which will be followed by a small funeral service.
