Checkpoint Yields DUI Arrest, 13 Traffic Tickets

Troopers made 117 vehicle stops on Route 413 near Route 213 in Langhorne.

State Police from the Trevose station conducted a sobriety checkpoint from 10 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 12 until 3 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 13 on Route 413 (Pine) just north of Route 213 (Maple) in Langhorne.

The checkpoint resulted in 117 vehicle stops, 13 summary traffic citations, 33 written warnings and a DUI arrest. Two male juveniles from Langhorne were also cited with underage drinking violations.

During sobriety checkpoints, troopers systematically stop vehicles to briefly observe drivers for signs of intoxication.

The goal of checkpoints is to reduce the number of alcohol and drug related fatal and serious crashes and to reduce the number of impaired drivers on state highways.
