Suspected Paraphernalia Explains 'Bulge' Near Breast

Charges against two adults are pending lab results, police report.

Yes, Lower Southampton police were looking at 29-year-old Tara Mancuso’s chest Wednesday evening.

The officers, who were called to her residence in the complex for a “strong odor of marijuana, observed a “bulge” near her right breast. The B building resident identified the bulging item as her “bowl” and removed it, a police report states. The suspected smoking device omitted an odor of burnt marijuana when law enforcement checked it.

Mancuso and her boyfriend, Michael Smith, 32, of Philadelphia, were arrested after officers discovered numerous seeds, green vegetable matter, rolling papers and marijuana grinders in her apartment.

Police, who were dispatched to the apartment complex at 5:35 p.m., knocked several times at the door before Mancuso opened it. As the door opened, the strong marijuana smell struck the officers, police records state.

When questioned about the smell, Mancuso told police she was in the bedroom with Smith at the time and had no knowledge of the burnt cannabis smell.

Mancuso invited a police sergeant into the apartment where several suspected drug related items were discovered, records show.

Police searched much of apartment thoroughly after Mancuso provided written permission, a police report states. Authorities did not search Mancuso’s roommate’s quarters because they did not have consent.

Before being taken by police for processing, Mancuso indicated to officers she keeps her “stuff” in a small canvas bag in the dining room. In the dinning room, marijuana grinders were discovered, police said.

Charges against Mancuso and Smith are pending lab results.
