JOIN SENIORS HELPING SENIORS IN THE 20th ANNUAL WALK TO END ALZHEIMER'S Event slated for November 17 at Citizens Bank Park

Seniors Helping Seniors® of Bucks County knows what it is like to battle the daily challenges of Alzheimer’s disease.  The company provides caregiver services to clients who struggle everyday with the disease, while trying to maintain their independent lifestyle.  As such, Seniors Helping Senior of Bucks County is a big supporter of the Alzheimer’s Association and for the fifth year will be fielding a team for the 2012 Walk to End Alzheimer’s.

The walk, in its 20th year, will take place on November 17, at Citizen’s Bank Park, 1 Citizens Bank Way, Philadelphia, Pa. Check in time is 9:30 a.m. and the walk begins at 11:00 a.m. Walkers can join a team or walk on their own. The event is held in 600 communities nationwide, and while there is no registration fee, each participant is expected to raise funds to help advance the organization’s mission of increasing awareness about the disease and finding a cure.

“I am passionate about doing everything I can to help eliminate this devastating disease,” said Barbara Marte, owner of Seniors Helping Seniors® of Bucks County and the captain of the Seniors Helping Seniors® team. “While I have not personally experienced the pain of having a family member with Alzheimer’s, my work has brought me into contact with many who either have the disease themselves or have a spouse, family member or dear friend who does.”

The goal for the Seniors Helping Seniors® of Bucks County team is to raise $5,000.
