Weekend Planner: Food Drives & Holiday Bazaars

Multiple food drives and holiday bazaars are being held this weekend.

 

Food Drive for Local Pantries
Where/when: 119 Fairhill Dr, Churchville, Friday, Saturday & Sunday, All day
Why go: Two Local Food Pantries - The Bucks County Housing Group and Jesus Focus Ministry - are in desperate need of food and toiletries, including salt, sugar, flour, tooth paste, shampoo, pain medication, diapers, baby food, canned veggies, bread, tuna, dry milk, coffee, tea, rice, beans cereal, chunky soups, peanut butter, jelly, mac & cheese, pancake mix, hot chocolate, spaghetti sauce, apple sauce, etc. If you can help, please contact Lynne Kelleher at 215-860-3229 or Lynne@LynneKelleher.com to arrange for pick up.

2013 Food Drive
Where/when: Frank's Servicenter, John McShane Auto Body, McKenney Garage, Grows Auto Service of Southampton, Quaint Oak Bank; Friday, Saturday & Sunday
Why go: Help fight hunger by dropping items off at the above locations. All donations will be forwarded to Jesus Focus Ministry on Bristol Road in Churchville.
Cost: Free

Where/when: Scottsville United Methodist Church 2400 Brownsville Rd, Langhorne, Saturday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Why go: This event will feature homemade crafts, lunch, flea market items, children’s craftroom, and visit from Santa.
Cost: Free

Annual Christmas Bazaar
Where/when: Bensalem Presbyterian Church, 2826 Bristol Rd, Bensalem, Saturday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Why go: The bazaar will feature unique crafts, home-made jams and jellies, gift baskets, a Dollar Table, and a baked goods table. Proceeds benefit the ongoing work of the Women's Guild.

Holiday Bazaar
Where/when: Bensalem Senior Citizens Association 1850 Byberry Rd, Bensalem, Saturday, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Why go: There will be a bake sale, jewelry, gifts, ceramics, candy, raffles and more. All proceeds benefit the Bensalem Senior Citizens Association.
Cost: Free 

Veterans Day at Moland House
Where/when: 1641 Old York Rd, Hartsville, Sunday, 1 to 4 p.m.
Why go: Take a free tour of the house and learn of when the Continental Army was camped at the site for 13 days in August of 1777 and how the Marquis de Lafayette and Count Pulaski first joined the American Revolution at this location.
Cost: Free
