The Neshaminy School Board met on Tuesday. Students, parents, teachers and board members  about the proposed 2011-2012 budget, possible programming cuts and the on-going teachers' contract impasse.

Though the Neshaminy Federation of Teachers and representatives from the Neshaminy School Board's negotiation team haven't met since February, were announced Tuesday.

Wednesday night, the Lower Southampton Board of Supervisors held a to recognize and honor the work of several Lower Southampton police officers and residents. They also honored fifth-grader .

The Board of Supervisors also awarded bids for the to purchase new gear for its firefighters. However, bids for refurbishing and upgrading one of the department's trucks were rejected because they came in a lot higher than anticipated.
