Lower Southampton Pools Under New Management

Sparkling Pool Services will maintain the pools at Dolphin Swim Club and Ferderbar Elementary.

Earlier this month, the Lower Southampton Township supervisors approved the selection of Sparkling Pool Services to take over management of the swimming pools at Dolphin Swim Club and Ferderbar Elementary.

For the $104,500 contract, the company will staff the lifeguards at Dolphin Swim Club and oversee the cleanliness and water quality of both pools. Even though the Ferderbar swimming pool is on the grounds of the Neshaminy School District, the township owns and maintains the pool.

"It is not open to the public," said Parks and Recreation director Matthew Gilbert. "We have an arrangment with the school district to use the pool for camps, plus the basketball courts and six classrooms."
