Snow, Sun in the Weekend Forecast

The National Weather Service has forecast snowfall Friday afternoon into Saturday morning.

First, there will be snow and then there will be some sun this weekend.

According to the National Weather Service, there is a 60 percent chance of snow beginning mainly after 4 p.m. Friday. This possibility of snow will increase to 90 percent during Friday night. Less than one inch of snow has been predicted.

Throughout the weekend, daytime highs will be in the low 20s to low 30s. Those temperatures will dip down to the low teens.

Friday: Snow likely, mainly after 4 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 24. Northwest wind around 6 mph becoming south in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.

Friday Night: Snow, mainly before 3 a.m. Low around 23. South wind around 6 mph becoming light and variable. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.

Saturday: Partly sunny, with a high near 29. Northwest wind 6 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 14. Northwest wind 7 to 10 mph.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 32.

Sunday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 19.
