Regional Roundup: Bensalem Police Investigate Pedestrian Accident

And a Bristol fire displaced seven families and injured an officer.

: Police continue to investigate a pedestrian accident that took place on the 1500 block of Bristol Pike shortly before 9 p.m. on Sunday, March 25. A 54-year-old male from Bensalem was struck while trying to cross Bristol Pike by an 83-year-old male from Jenkintown driving a gold Cadillac SRX. The pedestrian was listed in critical condition.

: Seventeen people were displaced and a Bristol police officer had to be treated for smoke inhalation after a fire at the early Sunday morning. Neighbors suspect the fire started in the apartment of a known crack-cocaine user, but Bristol authorities are still investigating the cause.

: Neshaminy High School's Interact Club and the club's adviser, Suzi Drake, won the Community Partner Hero award for demonstrating a commitment to making a difference in the community. All 2012 American Red Cross Heroes Award winners will be honored at the Real Heroes Breakfast in early May.
