June 6: Day Three of the Strike

Here are five things to know June 6, 2012.

1. According to Weather.com, except for a few afternoon clouds, it will be mainly sunny today, with the possibility of a stray afternoon thunderstorm. The high will be near 72 degrees. Then, there will be a few clouds overnight with a chance of a shower or thunderstorm throughout the evening and a low near 55 degrees.

2. The Neshaminy teachers are out on strike again today, so school is closed. .

3. Neshaminy High School seniors were scheduled to take final exams this week, however that has changed due to the strike. Seniors will be exempt from their finals unless they chose to take them to boost their final grade. .

4. It has has been said that the teachers will be allowed to strike for 10 days. But until the state's Department of Education confirms how long the teachers can go on strike for, the school district's the tentative plan is to push back the present last day of school, June 15, one day for each strike day. Today will be the third day of the strike.
