January 26: No Negotiation Session Tonight

Here are your five things for January 26, 2012.

1. According to Weather.com, it is going to be cloudy with occasional showers in the afternoon and a high of 43 degrees. Overnight, there will be periods of rain with a low near 40 degrees. Rainfall will amount to around a quarter of an inch.

2. Bonnie Sweeten, aka the "Hoax Mom," will have her sentencing hearing resume today at 10:30 a.m. 

3. Sticks and stones may break your bones, but names can still hurt too. Because of that, the  stories will be about why name-calling is wrong. Children will then do activities that show why we always want to be nice to everyone.

4. The is hosting at 12 p.m. Children ages 3 - 5, with an adult, can bring a brown bag lunch and enjoy stories and crafts.

5. The negotiation teams for the Neshaminy School Board and Neshaminy Federation of Teachers were originally scheduled to meet tonight to continue talks toward a new contract in the first negotiation session since the teachers' strike ended. However, the negotiation sessions have been postponed, at the request of the state mediator, in order for attorneys for both sides to discuss the process of non-binding arbitration.
