January 10: The Neshaminy Strike Continues

Here are your five things for January 10, 2012.

1. According to Weather.com, there will be some clouds in the morning will give way to mainly sunny skies this afternoon with a high around 50 degrees. Overnight, there will be clear skies with a low near 30 degrees.

2. The Neshaminy teacher strike continues today. If you are in need of daycare services for elementary school students, . If you have a high school student, click here to find out if their athletic or co-curricular activity is still on or cancelled.

3. Patch is working on an article about Neshaminy parents' reaction to the strike. If you are a Neshaminy parent and would like to share how the strike is affecting your family and how you feel about the strike, e-mail nicole.jenet@patch.com.

4. The Neshaminy School Board will meet tonight at Maple Point Middle School at 7 p.m. In addition to addressing the teacher strike, the board will consider approving the 2012-2013 preliminary budget. Here is the full budget for the meeting.

5. Prior to the board meeting, the Neshaminy Taxpayers/Parents group will be gathering at 6 p.m. with signs and t-shirts in support of the school board at Maple Point Middle School.
