A crisp but sunny December weekend lies ahead. In addition to all the holiday shopping, there are plenty of options for you to get out and enjoy.

Why go: A morning of food, fun, games, songs, crafts all capped off by a visit with Santa. Proceeds will benefit the American Heart Association.

Where/when: , 1380 Bristol Rd, Southampton, Saturday, 10 a.m.
Why go: The event will feature toy trail layouts, groups and exhibits, live music, face painting and a visit with Santa. All proceeds will benefit the restoration of the historic Southampton Railroad Station.

Why go: Children will walk along trails to find as many candy canes as they can. Children will also enjoy making a holiday craft and decorating holiday cookies. Santa will also make a surprise visit.

Why go: Spend the morning making a fragrant evergreen wreath to take home. Our horticulturist will also share tips about how to prune and care for a variety of evergreen trees and shrubs in the home landscape. Bring Clippers. Pre-registration required.

Why go: The open house will feature open hearth cooking demonstrations as well as story-time and special activities for children, plus interpreters in period costumes conducting tours of the historic building.
