It’s the last weekend before Christmas – talk about the home stretch! In between the shopping and decorating, take some time to have some fun. Not sure when or where? Fear not, we have options.

Why go: Watch the tree lighting while listening to holiday songs, enjoying cookies and warm cider in the farmhouse. Children will have fun making crafts while parents can take some time to win prizes. Bring your list because there will even be a visit from the Jolly Old Man himself with a surprise for each child! You must preregister by calling 215 357-7300 x340.

Where/when: Saturday, 11 am, , 1983 Bridgetown Pike, Feasterville Trevose
Why go: With the help of the Girls Softball Program, the , the  and the Lower Southampton Parks & Recreation Department, helpful parents and Santa, children will have the opportunity to visit with Santa and share their Christmas girft lists and help some township residents. Each child that bring a canned good or other non-perishable item with them will get their picture taken with Santa.

Where/when: Saturday, noon, , 707 Neshaminy Mall, Bensalem
Why go: The township public safety department and school district along with the Rotary, Kiwanis and Lions clubs and Building a Better Bensalem Together have rejoined for another Holiday Heart of a Community program at the . The groups will be manning tables in the mall and collecting clothing, toys, canned goods and cash donations for the needy in Bensalem. In addition to accepting donations, there will be special events involving pictures with holiday characters, first responders, police motorcycles and K-9 dogs.

Where, when: Saturday, 12:30 pm, , 901 Willow St, Southampton
Why go: Put an ornament on the tree and then at 1pm enjoy holiday entertainment. Meet Santa Claus and enjoy refreshments. Pre-registration required.

Why go: The tree will be aglow, there will be hot chocolate to keep you warm and you could take a horse-drawn carriage ride to see Playwicki as you have never seen it before: glistening in the moonlight! You must pre-register at 215-357-7300 x 340
