Five Things for September 5

Here are your five things for today.

1. It's going to be a rainy day today, according to the Weather.com forecast. There is a 60 percent chance of thunder showers today with a high of 82 degrees. Humidity will be at 73 percent. Overnight, there is a 100 percent chance of rain and thunder. 

2. Today is Labor Day! All, post offices and Neshaminy School District Schools are closed for the holiday.

3. Head a little bit out of town for some . The Pennsbury Community band will perform at Veterans Memorial Park (located at Edgewood Road and Heacock Road in Morrisville) at 5:30 p.m.

4. Are you Polish or just love to eat pierogi? Then head to in Doylestown. From 12 - 8 p.m. the National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa will host the festival. Tickets cost $10.

5. by dropping off any old shoes, sneakers, cleats, boots, etc. at . The organization then donates the shoes to homeless shelters throughout the city.
