Bridal Show Comes to Visitors Center

The 5th Annual Bucks County Bridal Show will be held on Sunday, Feb. 17.

Attention all brides: Visit Bucks County on Street Road in Bensalem will host its 5th annual bridal show this Sunday.

Starting at 12:30 p.m., brides and their guests can learn more about what Bucks County has to offer as far as venues and services for that special day. And it's free.

"This bridal show is unique as it is at a neutral location where we are able to showcase many of Bucks County's unique wedding venues," Michelle Greco Falcone, the communications manager for Visit Bucks County.

Instead of traveling around Bucks County to visit all of the possible locations, florists and the like, the bridal show brings it all under one roof, at the visitor's center, located at 3207 Street Rd., right in front of Parx Casino. From the Bensalem Township Country Club and Rose Bank Winery to Washington Crossing Inn and Peddler's Village, the bridal show will showcase 35 exhibitors, including venues, professional services like florists, DJs and more.

In addition to the vendors, the Franklin & Alison Orchestra will perform at 2 p.m., a discussion panel on beauty will be held at 2:45 p.m. and a fashion show by Sadie's Bridal and Darianna Bridal will take place at 3:30 p.m.

To spice things up this year, Visit Bucks County added a relaxation room where brides can go and relax during what can be a stressful time, Greco Falcone said. This way they get to sample some of the services of the vendors, too.

"We want our brides to feel relaxed and calm so they can enjoy the process of planning their dream Bucks County wedding," Greco Falcone said.

Skin 'n Tonic Spa in Peddler's Village and The Talking Teacup will be giving chair massages, makeup touch-ups and delicious teas and scones in the Relaxation Room, according to Greco Falcone.

And if you've been in a few weddings and are wondering what to do with those old gowns, consider donating them. Visit Bucks County has partnered with A Woman’s Place, the county's domestic violence organization. Guests can bring previously worn bridesmaid, prom and other special occasion dresses to donate to the local organization.

Then, before calling it a day, a grand prize getaway will be announced at 4 p.m. You can pre-register by clicking this link.

The show will wrap up by 4:30 p.m.
