July 4th Parade Book Cover Design Winner Chosen

The Lower Southampton Fourth of July parade book cover winning design was chosen.

Poquessing Middle School eighth grader Kelsey Wible, of Feasterville, was named the winner in the Lower Southampton Fourth of July parade book cover design contest.

The parade book will be given out to all spectators attending the Lower Southampton Fourth of July parade. For her design, Wible received a certificate of commendation and a $100 check from the parade committee.  

The parade starts at Second Street and Bustleton Pike and begins at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 4.

“July 4th 2012, Living It, Loving It” is the theme of this year’s event, which will be jam packed with everything from a Mummers string band, jug, pipe and pep bands, the Jody King Show, Mad Dog, the Philadelphia Eagles Pep Band to the Boogie Dogs, Dixieland music, a motorcycle drill team, local and visiting fire departments, antique and classic cars, colorful floats, government officials, a plethora of community groups and organizations and much more. The public is invited free of charge.
