Ferderbar Elementary Elf Fund Raises Over $1,100

Joseph Ferderbar Elementary's Elf Fund Dinner raised more that $1,100 on Nov. 14, 2012.

At Joseph Ferderbar Elementary's Elf Fund dinner this year, more than $1,100 was raised.

According to a school district press release, the Joseph Ferderbar Elf Fund is a holiday program that has been in existence for more than 20 years. It allows the Ferderbar staff and community to assist the children in the school to have a better holiday.

The donations collected provide gift cards, food and toys to students in our school whose families are financially stressed during the holidays and all through the year.

The Elf Fund held its annual spaghetti dinner Wednesday, Nov. 14 where over $1,100.00 was raised.

This event was spearheaded by Marie Dempsey and Diane Geiger.
