Warminster Man Sent to Jail for Kmart Theft
The Lower Southampton Police have responded to a number of incidents, including retail theft at the Feasterville Kmart.
The complainant reported to police that a 52-year-old Philadelphia man was at her residence Sunday, Jan. 6 and currently had warrants out of Bucks County and Philadelphia. Officers took the man into custody without incident. He was transported to the police station where he was picked up by Bucks County Sheriffs.
On Sunday, Jan. 6 at about 1:16 a.m., the Brunswick Zone manager reported to police that she discovered a counterfeit $20 bill in the Cafe when she was making change. It is unknown when or who passed the bill since the Cafe was busy most of the night
Police were dispatched to Kmart at about 11:50 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5. While enroute, Kmart's Loss Prevention informed Bucks County Radio of the offender's description, that he stole DVDs and that he just ran away from security eastbound on Street Road toward Bustleton Pike. Officers checking the area found a subject matching the offender's description walking north on Bustleton. The subject, a 34-year-old man from Warminster, was stopped by officers and confirmed to them that he had just come from Kmart. He was searched incident to arrest. Officers discovered two needles and seven DVDs in his possession. Kmart employees positively identified the subject as the man who stole the DVDs. The value of the stolen DVDs was $111.23. He was arraigned and sent to Bucks County Prison in lieu of $10,000 bail.
Theft from Auto
The complainant reported Friday, Jan. 4 that sometime overnight, Wednesday into Thursday, an unknown actor entered her unlocked Ford pickup that was parked in her driveway on the unit block of Park Lane and stole about $57 in cash and change. Her husband's unlocked Acura was also entered, but nothing was taken.
