Volvo Burns in Langhorne Arson

An arson fire is being investigated in the Langhorne section of Middletown, police say.

The cause of a early Wednesday morning car fire at Lance Corporal Harry J. Simmons Jr. Memorial Park in the Langhorne section of Middletown Township has been ruled arson, police said.

At 3:38 a.m., police responded to the Brownsville Road park to find a 2005 Volvo on fire in the parking lot.

Police say a second unidentified vehicle was seen in the parking lot just before the fire was reported.

Anyone with more information is asked to call the Middletown Township Police Department's detective unit at 215-750-3845 ext. 222.

The park is named after a decorated Middletown soldier who lost his life in 1967 while serving in Vietnam.
