The Lower Southampton Fire Department responded with Tri Hampton Rescue Squad and the Lower Southampton Township Police for the report of a vehicle into the side of a residence on the 100 block of Woodbridge Court South Tuesday just after 4 p.m.

According to Lower Southampton Fire Department Deputy Chief Stephen Brookes, LSFD Chief Steve Krippel arrived on the scene and found that the driver of the vehicle was out of it and in need of medical attention. The Tri Hampton Rescue Squad evaluated the driver's condition and transported him to a local hospital for further evaluation.

The fire department crew found that the raised enclosed patio of the home, which was unoccupied at the time of the incident, was resting on the vehicle, Brookes said.

Lower Southampton Fire Department personnel went in service shoring the structure in order to allow the towing service to remove the vehicle.

The crash is being investigated by the Lower Southampton Police Department.
