State Troopers Cite 3 with DUI

State Police released recent crime information, including three DUI citations.

DUI charges are pending for three individuals after state police responded to three separate incidents, according to reports.

Just after midnight on Sunday, Jan. 13 a state police officer on patrol observed a silver Mazda Tribute swerving and weaving on I-95 southbound at mile marker 37, reports said.

Trooper Kevin Lee initiated a traffic stop and after further investigation, the operator of the vehicle—a 39-year-old male from Bensalem—was found to be intoxicated, the police report said. Lee conducted field sobriety tests, and the driver was arrested for driving under the influence.

Then at 2:52 a.m., Trooper Geerlof pulled over a 30-year-old male from Philadelphia at I-95 south at exit 35 for several traffic violations, a police report said.

The man was arrested after he was observed to be under the influence of alcohol and/or a controlled substance. He was transported to St. Mary Medical Center where a blood sample was taken. The man was taken to the Pennsylvania State Police Trevose station, was processed and released.

At 3:55 a.m., Trooper Krut stopped a 2007 Black Mazda 6 for various traffic violations on I-95 southbound, just before mile marker 35, according to a report.

The driver—a 24-year-old man from Bristol—was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance and was transported to St. Mary's Hospital for chemical testing. The man was processed and released.
