National Pet Adoption Weekend at Petsmart
Where/when: PetSmart, 157 Levittown Parkway. St. B, Levittown and 220 Commerce Blvd., Fairless Hills, Friday, Saturday & Sunday
Why go:
Give a furry friend a loving family home from PetSmart Charities' adoption weekend. Those who adopt a new pet will go home with a free bag of Purina Pro Plan brand dog or cat food. Find out more about the adoption process by clicking here.

Centennial School District Fine Arts Festival
Where/when: Centennial School District, 433 Centennial Rd, Warminster, Friday from 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Why go: View student artwork at the last night of the fine arts festival and show case night at William Tennent High School.

Bensalem Lions Club Flea Market
Where/when: 2201 Street Rd, Bensalem, Saturday, 7 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Why go: Browse tables for hidden treasures.

Multi-family Yard Sale
Where/when: 175 Bustleton Pike, Feasterville Trevose, Saturday, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Why go: Find some hidden treasures at this multi-family yard sale, including American Girl and Build-a-Bear items, women's clothing, collectibles, housewares and toys.

Kentucky Derby Day at Parx
Where/when: Why go: There will be family fun activities in the picnic area starting at 11 a.m., souvenirs for sale, a jockey t-shirt toss and a hat contest for the ladies. The first live post will take place at 12:35 p.m.

Cinco de Mayo Funky Skull
Where/when: 1414 Old York Rd, Warminster, Saturday at 7 p.m.
Why go: Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with The Uncorked Artist at this BYOB paint & sip art studio while instructor Danielle Hylen Hammond as she steps you through recreating a colorful and funky skull.
Cost: $35

Freedom Steps 5k Run/Walk for Our Troops
Where/when: 3500 Masons Mill Rd, Huntingdon Valley, Sunday at 8 a.m.
Why go: Run or walk to show support for the U.S. troops' personal commitment and sacrifice. The proceeds from this event will go to ship necessary supplies and goodies to our brave men and women protecting the very freedoms that allow us to host this event. Registration begins at 8 a.m. The race starts at 9 a.m.
Cost: $20/person

Car Wash to Benefit Relay for Life
Where/when: Pep Boys Auto Parts, Tires and Service, 982 W Street Rd, Warminster, Sunday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Why go: Get your car washed and shiny while benefitted a great cause: the Relay for Life and the American Cancer Society
