It is called Warminster Heights, not Lacey Park..hasn't been Lacey Park in a very long time. And just because its right there doesn't mean anything.

It does matter because it's news. They need to get their facts straight if they're reporting a story. When Sandy Hook happened, every news outlet put out erroneous information in an attempt to one-up each other. Fact-checking stories is important.

I don't know how Warminster Heights came into the comments, when there's nothing in the story about it. Police say the man is from NYC and 6 ABC says he's from Philly. As for the Hatboro comments, even the businesses much further down County Line Rd. on the Warminster side have a Hatboro mailing address. It's always been that way. County line road is not an official boundary. If you zoom in on the map you can see how the township lines are drawn. It is Hatboro, now everyone can stop arguing about it. It makes no real difference. The shooter and the current store owner aren't even from the area.

Not that it matters but zip code boundaries do not follow municipal boundaries. The "zipmap" posted here is the zip code boundary map which correctly shows the business in question with the Hatboro zip code. This fact is what causes confusion because County Line Road is indeed the boundary between Warminster Township and Hatboro. The business is located in Warminster Township but the US Postal Service assigns it the Hatboro zip code. It has always been like this and it is not a big deal.

Minorities make up a smaller percentage of the community and commit 90 percent of the crimes. These people love commiting crimes. They come from philly and NY and destroy our suburbs. The problem is the shopping center. The landlord is a slum lord - as long as he gets his rent he's happy. Jared - I am a middle aged Caucasian woman who has worked and raised a family in bucks county and still live here. I know all about being on the receiving end of reverse discrimination. My point is simple, ethnicity does not cause crime. We live in the third most densely populated area of the US - you are free to move anywhere you want. Racism in any form is unacceptable and ignorant and does nothing but exacerbate these issues. The problem in my opinion revolves around mental health not ethnicity.

Minorities make up a smaller number of the community but they commit the most crimes statistically. I have lived in Warminster my whole life. Every couple years something big happens. A shooting, a murder, a robbery. It happens in other towns too. Lets see I believe a man raped an murdered an eldery woman in Hatboro a couple years ago. A man shot his wife and child in Doylestown a year or two ago. So no town is without it's crime. This was a dispute between the current owner and ex owner of the business. Now that's not to say it wasn't a big deal because it was. The problem is people react without thinking anymore. It has nothing to do with race. It has to do with stupidity and mentality.

I feel bad for you and your misplaced anger. The park, in my eyes, is such a great community. Did you know that Warminster Heights, is a co-op? To move in to Warminster Heights, you have to have the co-op fee, which is currently about $7600.00. It's not a government run community, it's a resident run community. Did you know that? That $7600.00 co-op fee comes out of your pocket, not the government. That must be paid, if you get approved to move in, in full, before you move in. Thats after you pass a criminal background check and credit check. Sounds safe to me. I like knowing for a fact that none of my neighbors are criminals. Warminster Heights also has HUD housing, also known as section 8. They do not except the Section 8 Voucher, so please do not get that confused. You have to go through the same process as regular housing and still have the co-op fee to move in. The HUD housing program in Warminster Heights is based on your income. You pay up to market rent value. Some of those section 8 residents could be paying $1500.00 per month for their unit. That is more than the rent is for regular housing.
