Poll: Should Neshaminy Close Schools, Build New Ones?

Do you think Neshaminy should build a new school and possibly close some existing schools? Vote in this poll.

Neshaminy's Facilities Ad Hoc Committee will meet tonight, Sept. 10, at 6:30 p.m. to continue talks of consolidating the school district -- plans include the possibility of building a new elementary school at the Tawanka site and closing some elementary schools.

McKissick Associates created a plan for the school district that included a variety of options for the school board to consider to better utilize its facilities.

The school board is slated to approve the McKissick Associates Tuesday to move forward with submitting initial plans to the state in order to qualify for additional funding.

Neshaminy could receive about $4 million in state funding to help in the construction of a new school and consolidation of schools within the district.

Do you think Neshaminy should move forward with closing some of its schools and building a new one? Vote in the poll below.

And where does everyone think the funds came from? the $4 million? from us, the taxpayers! $4 MILLION!!! to do what? to build a new elementary school? while closing some elementary schools? No matter what we say, or what we do, how much opposition there might be - they do what they want. McKissick Associates is an architectural company, but primary interior designer, so of course, they are going to paint a pretty picture for all to see. So I guess, they will also charge the area, if they get the bid for designing and building a new school? or is that all ready in the making?

Not again. Start teaching and forget all the new buildings how about some maintance and keep them in shape instead of more building. We just went through that with the high school. They remodeld it because tax payers had a fit.
