A resident of Arbor Lane Apartments came home from school Monday, Dec. 10, and found a man coming out of his father's bedroom.

The man – described by police as a chunky, white man, in his 40s with a thin graying mustache – claimed to be from the maintenance department and was doing work in the apartment. 

"I'm with maintenance, seriously," the suspect said.

When the father got home, he reported the incident to apartment management and police were called. At the scene, three sets of fingerprints were lifted from the sliding glass door that leads from a balcony into the apartment. The witness said the intruder was not wearing gloves.

The man fled the scene and entered a dark colored Pontiac Vibe. Stolen during the burglary was a women’s Michael Kors watch, among other items.
