Package Stolen From Front Porch of Sweetwater Farms Home
Lower Southampton Police are investigating the theft of a UPS package from the front porch of a home in Lower Southampton.
The Lower Southampton Police Department is investigating the theft of packages left by UPS.
The theives drove down a cul-de-sac in the Sweetwater Farms section of the township in an apparent attempt to identify parcels that have been left at the front door of the residence.
The pictured Dodge Durango (early to mid 2000’s) drove around the Cul-de-sac and then stopped. The vehicle backed to the driveway.
A woman in the above pictures got out of the passenger side of the vehicle, walked up the stairs to the residence and grabbed a large parcel from the residence.
"It is likely that these actors are trolling neighborhoods looking for packages to take," Detective Gerald Scott said.
On Wednesday, police announced two suspects confessed to the crime, according to NBC10. Police say the suspects are cooperating, but police have not released their names.
Protect Your Packages
In order to prevent a theft like this, Lietenant Ted Krimmel suggests tracking your packages on line. If you order expensive items online, they should be signed for and not left on the porch.
In addition, if you know when your packages are being delivered ask a neighbor to watch out for them. You can also put some outdoor furniture on the porch where the delivery men can hide the package.
NBC 10 reported that the package contained $500 Prada sneakers from Neiman Marcus that the homeowner ordered for her husband. Neiman Marcus has agreed to refund the purchase, but the homeowner still wants this woman brought to justice.
