Lower Southampton Police are looking for two men that allegedly took between $6,000 and $10,000 of jewelry from Brownsville Antiques on Tuesday, Nov. 13.
According to the police report, the one suspect distracted the employee while the other suspect repositioned the surveillance cameras so that he was out of the camera's view.
He then went to two different locked glass cabinets in the store, opened the glass sliding door without breaking anything and then took a tray of gold jewelry from one cabinet and handpicked gold jewelry from the other cabinet.
The store employee reported that she discovered the jewelry was missing when a patron inquired about something inside the cabinet. All of the stolen jewelry was on consignment from two different people.
The employee recalls the two men were hispanic, dressed in dark clothing and clean cut. One of the males was about 5'8" and the other was slightly taller. She said the taller one started a conversation with her asking about a gift for his brother that was getting married.
Anyone with information about the suspects are asked to contact Detective Eric Landamia at 215-357-1235 or elandamia@lstwp.org.
