Northbound Route 1 in Middletown was closed after a multi-vehicle accident left one person dead and others injured. The highway reopened after 7:30 a.m.
As of 6:50 a.m., police were on the scene of the deadly accident that has shutdown all Northbound lanes of the roadway between Maple Avenue and Business Route 1., PennDOT and county officials confirm.
According to 6abc.com, the accident happened just before 5 a.m. and involved three vehicles.
Aside from the fatality, the wreck left several people injured, NBC10 reported.
Officials from the Parkland Fire Company are assisting police at the scene.
