A Philadelphia man is facing felony retail theft charges after he was caught trying to steal from Five Below.

A Five Below employee noticed the 32-year-old man putting cell phone cases into a bag. When he was confronted by store employees, he took the merchandise out of his bag and left abruptly. Store employees told police that the man attempted to take $25 worth of cell phone cases.

The man left behind another bag when he left the store that was filled with deordorant and disposable razors from Dollar Tree.

Officers found that the items from Dollar Tree worth $67 were stolen.

After the man was taken into custody, Lower Southampton officers checked his criminal history, which indicated two other guilty pleas for retail theft. Because of the previous incidents, Lower Southampton charged him felony retail theft.

He was arraigned and sent to Bucks County Prison in lieu of $20,000 bail.

All of the stolen Dollar Tree items were returned to the store.

The above information was supplied by the Lower Southampton Police Department. For full details from the police reports, click on the attached PDF file.
