Lower Southampton Police cited a 36-year-old man with retail theft January 7, 2013.
A Feasterville man was caught trying to steal a prime rib from the Feasterville Acme by hiding it in the jacket he was carrying over his shoulder.
Two Acme loss prevention employees conducted surveillance of the the Feasterville grocery store Jan. 7 when they observed the 36-year-old man was working the store for a subcontractor.
After the man exited the store, the loss prevention employees approached him to speak with him about prior thefts when they discovered he was attempting to steal the meat valued at about $66.27. As a result, they took the man back to their office until police arrived.
Police will issue the man a summary citation for retail theft via mail.
