Man Attacks With Pizza, Jumps on Car, Police Say
A 53-year-old man was arrested by Lower Southampton police after a fight with his wife.
A gun-owning man who was drinking vodka was arrested Friday night by Lower Southampton police after an argument, authorities said.
James Keeney, 53, of Trevose, was arrested at the home he shared with his wife and charged with simple assault, terroristic threats, disorderly conduct, harassment and public drunkenness.
He was arraigned and sent to Bucks County prison, where he was later released on 10 percent of $5,000 bail. As part of his release conditions, Kenney turned his handgun over to officials, agreed to not go to his home and not contact his wife, authorities said.
Police arrived to the 620 block of F Avenue in the Trevose section of the township and spoke with Kenney’s wife after officers were dispatched for a domestic.
The woman told officers her husband, who owns a Glock handgun, threaten to kill her. She also told police while she was on the phone with a social worker he began yelling and struck her in the head with a slice of pizza, while he was drinking vodka, according to a incident report.
A responding officer said Kenney was visibly intoxicated.
When speaking with officers, Kenney admitted to striking his wife with the pizza, but denied threatening to kill his wife, police said.
The woman next loaded her car with clothes and her pets and attempted to leave with police watching.
Kenney agreed with police “to behave himself.”
As patrol officers prepared to leave the home, the 53-year-old was heard yelling at his wife as she tried to leave. Kenney then jumped on the hood of her car, police said.
He was then arrested and processed.

What an idiot!! First, this women living with a guy who is a drunk, owns a gun, and is an abuser in my opinion is foolish. At what point do you just get up enough self-confidence in yourself and pack it in and leave. Thank god they are no children involved that we know of. Thank you Tom for reporting the facts.

I certainly hope you are never unfortunate enough to marry someone who is an abuser. It messes up your whole mind. I am leaving and am planning on moving out this week. That's why everything started. I was on the phone with a social worker, who called the cops. the plan was save money to get a place of my own, but now I have to go stay with family until I get on my feet. If this had happened a year ago, I would not be leaving. Never judge someone's situation unless you were there living it yourself. so stop being sanctimonious and judgemental. this whole situation is tragic and not for you to make comments that you know nothing about. and yes he is an idiot. it's a shame to watch someone you once loved lose themselves in addiction. so STFU!!

It's quite simple to defend yourself against a pizza fiend! First, you force him to drop the pizza. Then you eat the pizza, thus disarming him! You have now rendered him helpless!
