LSAA to Host Food Drive for Local Families

The Lower Southampton Athletic Association will host a food drive Saturday, Dec. 15.

 

Since 2001, the Lower Southampton Athletic Association has been able to help 450 local families in need and they plan to help more again this year.

This Saturday, Dec. 15, the LSAA will be hosting a non-perishable food drive at the Lower Southampton Library from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

According to LSAA board member Susan Roberts, LSAA Softball, formerly G.A.L.S. Softbal, will facilitate the food drive along with local elementary schools and local business including John Kennedy Ford, Alert Builders, D Andrea, Langels, Bottom Dollar Foods, Feasterville Acme, Giant, Action Karate, Conestoga Bank and various other local businesses and community members.

Donations in the form of canned goods and non-perishable items will be accepted for donations. Monetary donations can be mailed to:

Feasterville, PA 19053

In addition, Santa will be at the library during the food drive to take pictures with children from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The food donations are distributed by the Lower Southampton Fire Department.
